EMC performance requirements for military compliant equipment
are detailed in a series of unique military standards. These US originated (MIL STD) documents have been adapted by military
organisations worldwide.
To meet EMC compliance requirements specified by procuring agencies for testing
modern complex military equipment, formal test plans are prepared. The laboratories have established a fully equipped EMC test
facility to implement test plans and carry out testing to Army, Navy
and Air Force specifications, under the harmonised MIL STD 461 and MIL STD 462 test standards. EMC tests include assessment of emissions and immunity performance.
If issues are found during testing various EMC compliance technologies can be applied to achieve conformance if engineering assistance (investigation, consulting) is required.
