RFI Industries Pty. Limited is a wholly Australian owned
company which is internationally recognised for the supply of
shielded enclosures and associated services for industry, defence
and medical applications and for EMI/EMC testing for industry and
government.
Since 1983, the company has been actively engaged in EMI/EMC
compliance testing. By 1991 this activity was large enough to
become a separate division and the EMI/EMC Laboratories Division
was established at Bayswater, Victoria.
During that year the EMI/EMC laboratories also established the
first Australian accredited Open Area Test Site (OATS) in the low
ambient noise area of Tooboorac, located north
of Melbourne.
As a direct result of the adoption of the European EMC Directive
and the subsequent Australian EMC framework, the company further
augmented its facilities to meet the increasing testing
requirements of electronic equipment manufacturers and importers.
These enlarged facilities were also tailored to meet the
growing requisites of both military and automotive EMC testing.
The company is continually adding to its formal
accreditations and facilities to enhance its services as an EMI/EMC testing
laboratory.
